“ I am a hot dog eating fella from Tennessee I have my favorite hot dog joint In Toledo, I have been pretty vocal about who's the best In town. I'm not going to say anything bad about my favorite for over 30 years. That being said here are my thoughts on what could be a real contender. My first bite was just chillie. It was immediately a sweet almost flavor that went away faster than it arrived being replaced by a damn good spicyness. Not at all overbearing the dog itself was not the star of the meal and that's the way it should be. The dog was a good match for the chilli and the bun. These are "THE BEST HOT DOGS on the east side" I will say that without hesitation. The servers name escapes me but she has a personality that's completely charming the fella cooking was well versed on how to interact with customers and very pleasant to be around. The guests were amazing people. Hello one of them brought cookware in to help. These are God damn good hot dogs Damn good people and are already far surpacing my old number 2 spot Rudy I'm looking at you. Ideal don't rest on the past. Ill be here again probably often. Bryan was the fella cooking. ”

We each went for three loaded chili dogs, and they hit the spot. The chef even joked, asking if he’d “thrown enough grease on there”—exactly the kind of cheeky fun you’d expect from a great hot dog joint, not a five-star steakhouse. The atmosphere? Unforgettable. From vibrant locals selling clothes outside to a half-asleep gentleman on a nearby bench, and stories of flying plates courtesy of the kitchen staff (you’ll have to ask the chef yourself!)—it all adds up to a one-of-a-kind experience that somehow just works. Even 13 year veteran of this establishment were learning every day The cook was in awe over a lockable microwave. If you’re up for great food and a few laughs, this place is a must-visit. “ As veteran glizzy engorgers when on tour, we were happy to see that Don had some big juicy glizzies waiting for us as we passed on our way to our tour stop at Frankie’s just around the corner. Walking into that establishment was akin to seeing your aunt and uncle for the first time in years. Were the glizzies top notch? Eh. The fries though? Masterful. Best sprite and waters we’ve ever had though. You can tell they were stored in the coolers with love. The experience though was chef’s kiss. We listened to Talking Heads and Rolling Stones through Don’s phone while we held our noses and happy scarfed down Don’s watery chili glizzies. They were generous with the fries and we are happily munching on them as we speak, (although they’ve gone cold and soggy. Tour’s fun like that) We can’t wait to go back. We felt at home in the perfectly imperfect glizzy dungeon. Cheers to Don and Kim. Truly wonderful humans! ”
